diluc
he gives the best hugs omg. he’s big and warm and he has thick clothes and that’s all the reasoning i have. he would just wrap you up and let you lean on him, maybe even put his head in the crook of your neck if he’s feeling a little sentimental. if it’s cold and you’re outside, he opens his coat and wraps you up in it. he smells like cedarwood and a little of wine - whether it’s from being at the winery or around everyone drinking at the tavern, you don’t know - and overall just very comforting. he’s very touch starved please give this man the affection he deserves.
razor
also another for good hugs. i feel like he’s been without human contact for so long that he just randomly hugs you whenever he wants (as long as you’re okay with it). he’s also pretty warm, and he likes to just wrap his arms around you and lean. he smells sort of like mulberry and there’s the slightest hint of sweat and general dirt from him living in the forest, but other than that his hugs are 10/10 if he doesn’t squeeze you too hard.
venti
do i need to explain this one? he’s excitable, so his hugs would reflect that. he’d jump on you and wrap his arms around your neck or spin you around if you were the one initiating the hug. he smells like fresh air most of the time and his hugs are always refreshing, especially after a long day. out of everyone, he’s the most likely to do grabby hands or whine until you put away whatever you’re doing and just hold him.
lisa
her hugs are very common and very comforting. stress? gone. you’re not allowed to be stressed or touch starved when lisa’s around. she likes to wrap one arm around your waist and rest the other on your head (her favourite place for it to go is on her shoulder) or have it playing with the hair on the nape of your neck. will let go first, but only after she thinks the hug has been long enough. she smells sweet, like apricots, and another calming scent that nobody in mondstadt can put their finger on (spoiler alert: it’s cecilias).
xiao
as much as i hate to admit it, xiao probably gives the worst hugs out of everyone here. it’s not like they’re necessarily bad, they’re actually pretty nice, but they’re stiff and they never really last very long (probably because he’s not used to affection). when he does hug you, it’s nice. it’s short but “it gets the job done”. xiao smells of grass and whatever they shine the floors with at wangshu inn (it’s something apple-y, but you’ve never bothered to ask), and both of them mixed together make a strange but calming smell. he’s never really warm, but he’s not cold either. all in all, everything comes together to be a nice hug, even if it only lasts a few seconds.
kaeya
he likes to touch you no matter what, so you’d think that he gives good hugs. contrary to popular belief, he does not. yes they’re very often and yes he always smells really good, but he’s freezing cold and it seems like he’s sort of waiting for you to let go. despite this, he won’t let go before you do - if you don’t remove your arms from around his neck then you’re not going anywhere, end of story. he always smells fresh. always. even after he’s just fought a ruin guard and he’s all sweaty, he never smells bad. no one knows how he does it, not even lisa. oh, and he grabs your ass while holding you.
