the fact that the genshin communities on both twt and tt are becoming toxic just to sabotage the dsmp fandom pisses me off so much.
yes, the dsmp fandom is pretty yucky for a lot of reasons, but…. instead of also being yucky to combat them, we should. do better than they do.
quit giving shitty advice to new players without saying it’s fake!! just because you think it’s funny doesn’t mean it really is. you’re creating a space that is unsafe and unwelcoming to new players and i’m very sick of it.
i know you want to keep the dsmp fandom out, and frankly so do i, but if anything the best way to deal with this is to just shut up about it. you’re not helping by being a dick. you’re making this a whole lot worse. you are the ones pushing away new players. you are the ones making the community toxic. please, sh u t u p.
instead of trying to cancel out a negative with another negative, try:
- giving the dsmp fandom some real, actual criticism. like, explain why they are toxic and what they should do to change.
- explaining to the genshin fandom how to not become like the dsmp fandom. rather than acting petty towards the dsmp, try fostering a healthy community. that’s our goal here, so quit doing it in roundabout ways.
- shutting up. if you want to make this better, let the drama die down.
to be clear, i do not side with anybody in this debate. neither the genshin fandom nor the dsmp fandom are doing the right thing in this scenario.
i will not be talking on this matter any further.
i know i don’t have much of a following, but if you happen to see this, please reblog, etc etc. i’d like for this to become the general consensus among the genshin community.
