content of the request: May I perhaps,, have some Kaeya and how he would react to a s/o who is afraid of thunder and fireworks?? Just some headcanons. Thank you my liege
[I hope I portrayed him perfectly here ;-;]
- At first, the man would be confused on why you are suddenly crouching down and covering your ears in fear. Not until another roar coming from the raging skies was heard throughout the place once again and you couldn’t help but yelp and whimper in fear that he realized why you are acting like that.
- Just like the lightning striking down on their city, the sudden realization stuck him.
- His s/o was afraid of thunder.
- With that, he immediately rushed to your side and knelt down to your eye-level, wrapping his arms around your figure. He pulled you into a tight and reassuring hug as if he was trying to tell you that nothing bad is going to happen.
- He would try his best to calm you down and make you relax. He would whisper words of comfort against your ears and give you small pats on the back along with giving the top of your head a peck.
- “It’s going to be fine, nothing bad is going to happen. I’m here. You’re safe with me.”
- “I’m scared.”
- He would then proceed on giving or teaching you some breathing exercises that will help you calm down. That would go on for almost 10 minutes or more, depends on how long it will take you.
- The same goes when it comes to fireworks.
- He would take you to a farther place wherein the sound of fireworks couldn’t be heard then would ask you questions out of worry. Kaeya assumed that this might be because of some trauma or phobia of yours.
- He didn’t dare ask where and what happened which made you scared of it. He doesn’t want to force you or make you uncomfortable. He knows that it isn’t because you lack trust for him but talking about your fear, phobia, or trauma might make you relive that scary memory and will trigger your fear.
- He’s willing to wait until you’re ready.
- Well, because of that, he became more protective of you.
