Diluc

• He freezes in place, absolutely terrified as his mind immediately goes to the worst-case scenario 
• He’s lost his father against a monster before, will he lose you too?
• Everything seems to be moving in slow motion to him
• It’s only when you scream is he pulled back to reality and dashes to you. He grabs the hillichurl by the face and yeets throws them off of you 
• Cradles you in his arms as he runs back to the winery, shouting for someone to call a doctor
• Can’t sit still while you’re being looked after. He paces outside of your door, letting his worst fear cloud his judgement as he prepares himself for the worst
• When the doctor finally lets him see you, he’s on the verge of tears. He looked so scared, you almost cried as well 

“My love…I don’t know what I would do if I lost you.”

Kaeya

• When Kaeya sees you get hit, he’ll immediately stop what he’s doing and runs to you. He kills the abyss mage in one swift stroke.
• Doesn’t waste any time—scoops you up in his arms and runs away, looking over his shoulder every now and then to make sure you two weren’t being pursued.
• Makes a mental note of where you two are. He’ll come back and make them pay ten-fold later
• Sits on the ground outside your room, his back against the door as you’re being treated. His head is in his hands, cursing himself for not being strong enough to protect you 
• When he’s allowed to see you, he tries to force a reassuring smile, but seeing you covered in cuts and bandages is too much for him. He breaks down, crying by your bedside 

“I’m…I’m so sorry. I swear, I will protect you next time. I will not let you be hurt in front of me again.”

Childe

• Wouldn’t run to you immediately. He would first make sure whichever bastard hurt you was dead first
• Defeats the entire treasure hoarder gang within seconds. It’s only when their blood is dyeing the grass a dark red does he gently rest you against his back and carries you to Bubu Pharmacy 
• When you’re getting medical attention and he’s sure you’re alright, he’ll leave. Baizhu will ask him where he’s going, and he’ll respond that he’s going to make them pay 
• Massacres every hillichurl and treasure hoarder camp within a ten kilometre radius. The Adventure Guild was out of business for weeks.
• Does it to vent out his anger and frustration from being unable to protect you properly 
• You’ll wake up to Childe smiling at you, exhausted and covered in blood, asking if you need anything 
• Gets himself a bed beside you lol 

“What? I had to avenge you, darling. Can’t let anyone think they can touch you and get away with it.” 

Zhongli

• He’s by your side the moment you’re struck, catching you in his arms before you hit the ground 
• The ruin guard shoots missiles and Zhongli shields you from the attack. He gets hurt, but he doesn’t care. All he can think about is you.
• Cradles you with one arm and holds his spear with the other. He defeats the ruin guard before running.
• Holds you close to his chest, checking how deep your wounds are and ensuring you’re still breathing 
• Stays calm on the outside but is actually worried out of his mind
• The next time you two go on a mission together, he’s hesitant to let you go farther than arm’s reach 
• Even when you assure him that you’ll be fine, he still keeps a close eye on you 

“Of course I think you’re strong enough to beat a couple slimes, but you can never be too careful. You gave me quite the scare last time, darling.”

Xiao 

• You whispered his name, and he’s by your side in a heartbeat.
• Throws you over his shoulder, balancing your body with one hand and slashing through the mob of mitachurls with the other
• When he gets you to Wangshu Inn, he’s hesitant to let go of you so someone could examine you. 
• He will not let go of your hand or leave your side, no matter how Verr Goldet tries to persuade him. Hisses at them if they try. 
• Can barely look at your face. He was not able to protect you, and he is deeply ashamed of that fact.
• When you wake up, he hugs you and doesn’t let go. He claims it’s because he is checking your pulse, but it’s really because he doesn’t want you to see him tear up from relief that you’ll be okay
