Amber:*waves letter* We got a letter from Aether! It’s for all of us!
Jean:Well that explains the excitement. He rarely writes, let alone a single letter for all of us.
They all walk over to her desk and open up the letter to read it. To themselves briefly before Amber and Lisa smiled.
Amber:Why didn’t I think of that!?
Lisa:Does he count? He is an honorary knight.
Kaeya:I think it’s the least we could do. He’s never been a poor judge of character. Not to mention I’m sure it’ll mean a lot.
Jean:*smiles* I think it’s a wonderful idea. Everyone, grab a pen.

Aether:*walks in* Ah, just the girl I’m looking for; and you’re already reading!
Collei:Hmm, I was excited until that last part. Now I’m not sure how to feel.
Aether:Trust me, it’s nothing with scientific names. *shows letter* I got a Mondstadt letter. I figured you could try reading it.
Collei:A Mondstadt letter? Uh sure! It’s from the knights?
Aether:*hands letter* Yep. See for yourself.
Collei: “Dear Honorary Knight, We have re…cive?” Oh, received! “We have received your letter about your request and think it’s wonderful. While it is…” *shows letter*
Aether: “Unorthodox” it means unusual or out of the ordinary; not typical.
Collei:Got it. “While it is un..orthodox, the knights all agree-”
Aether:I saw the paper. Try the word. I now know you know what it means.
Collei:But…fine. It’s just so weird! “The knights………unanimously agree it’s the right thing to do. Be safe, Acting Grand Master Jean.” Why couldn’t she just say “all” this isn’t a essay with a word count!
Aether:You did it though! Congratulations!
Collei:What was this letter even talking about? What request?
Aether:*pulls out second letter*
Collei:….*grabs it reluctantly* I hope Lisa didn’t write this one.
Aether:Honestly she’d probably be easier. I mean she puts vines around her capital “I” but writes two sentences at best.
Collei: “Dear Col-” Wait, dear me?
Aether:Keep going.
Collei:…“Dear Collei, we hope this finds you in good health. We thank you for helping look after our shared friend, Aether, who has spoken about you like a gentle breeze. He speaks of a very kind an gentle young Forest Ranger trainee that dares to keep improving. The job is very important. Scouting, helping others, training, and doing it all with an open heart after hardships is truly a beautiful thing. Not only will you be a great ranger, but also a….” *sniffles* “ a fantastic knight. So agreeing to Aether’s request and a proof that you will always have a family in Mondstadt, we hereby…..”
Collie stopped reading, the final words impossible to read with her crying. She looked up from the paper to see Aether smiling softly at her. Without warning, she pulled him into a tight hug and buried her face into his shirt as she cried. He was startled at first, then patted her head. Aether gently took the letter that had his for friend’s signature of approval at the bottom.
Aether: “We hereby welcome you as an Honorary Knight of Favonius with your talents being perfect for the Outrider division. Outrider Amber, as for all of us, congratulate you and continue to wish for the best in all you strive for. May Barbatos watch over you, your fellow knights.” Forest Ranger, Honorary Knight, and Outrider. You’ll have more titles than me before I know it!
Collei: *sniffling* Hehe..Th-Thank you. Thank you so much…
Aether:*hugs her gently* You earned it all on your own.
