- because of a handful of unsavory encounters during her childhood, keqing’s fear of insects carries on even in her adult life. she likes to think that she’s overcome her fear, but she’d be lying if she didn’t get a little frightened when her sleeves / hair brushes against her skin. ( her head snaps to the offending area, and her eyes scan every inch of her skin with surgical precision— she’s quickly reassured, and also a little embarrassed, when she realizes that there was nothing to worry about at all. )
- xingqiu has an unusually high pain tolerance: whenever he gets bitten by an insect, he has a tendency to break skin when he scratches the area of the bite. he never notices until somebody points it out to him, oftentimes with a concerned look; and he often finds himself explaining to the other person that, no, he had not been mauled by an animal— and, no, it really wasn’t as bad it looked.
- chongyun thinks that blinking and winking are the same thing. ( and nobody has the heart to tell him. )
- ningguang is always so perfectly kempt— never a single strand of hair out of place. she doesn’t try, but she’s photogenic, in every sense of the word: she’s beautiful even when she’s caught in the middle of an unexpected drizzle, she’s beautiful even when she’s stirred from her sleep in the most ungodly hours of the night, she’s beautiful first thing in the morning, and she’s just as beautiful when she’s about to retire to her private quarters. ( if ningguang has any flaw, it’s that she sometimes forgets to take off her claws. has she poked herself in the face because of it? more times than she would like to admit. )
- as much as she possibly can, beidou brings food with her because she doesn’t always have the time to sit down and eat proper meals. this soon comes in handy when she first discovers her inexplicable urge to feed any stray animal that approaches her ( she’ll pet them, too, if they allow her. ) and she’s at a loss when the animals start following her to her ship. should one ever find themselves aboard the crux fleet, the sailors would tell them: once you hear the distinct sound of a kitten’s meow, or the sound of a dog’s nails tap, tap, tapping against the wooden floorboard— it could only mean one thing: dinnertime.
- xiangling can jump like a kangaroo, but she has about just as much grace as a baby deer. when she’s by herself, she likes moving around barefooted ( she swears on her life that it makes her less clumsy! ) more often than not, she forgets where she last left her footwear; and it’s not an uncommon sight for pairs upon pairs of shoes and slippers to be scattered everywhere.
- whenever childe breaks something he wasn’t supposed to, he tinkers with it just enough that it appeared fixed, but in actuality, the object in question was still very broken. perhaps it was cruel: to leave the object in such a state; for an innocent passerby to pick it up, watch it break in their hands, and believe that it was their fault that it was broken. does childe ever feel guilty about it? not anymore.
