(in my headcanons i give the reader my character’s description so that’s it’s easier for me to write on whim, so you’re a hydro polearm user who’s a well known mercenary and is 5′4, y’all are also from inazuma)
- Kaeya would totally attempt to convince you to join the Knights when you first come to Monstadt, but you refuse because you’re already content with your job and know that no work would be completed with Kaeya around. You almost agreed tho when you saw Ms. Dandelion Tights and Hornii Librarian lady because damn they are fine.
- “hi darling!”
“deararchonshelpmethiswomanisjustUGH-” - since you have a reputation as a mercenary, it wouldn’t exactly be best for the public to know your relationship with Kaeya, so Kaeya instead makes it seem as if he’s courting you (not revealing that he is actually in a relationship with you) knowing full well that it embarrasses the shit out of you (reference to last headcanon)
- he enjoys smothering you with affection in private tho, apologizing for his daily antics. he wants to respect your wishes, but at the same time he also wants the entire world to know about his relation to you. it was then revealed that you two were a thing when you had come back from an especially long mission and instead of Kaeya initiating it, you had jumped into him and immediately fell asleep. he kissed your forehead and then escorted you to his personal quarters (you don’t have a place to stay in Monstadt since you’re constantly traveling, so you often stay with Kaeya)
- he tried showing off to you on a mission in which you were hired by the Knights to rid of the Hilichurl camps that were too close to the city. unfortunately for him, he did not receive the chance to flaunt his skills as you seemed to be doing all the work since y’all are badass like that
- he improvised by flirting
- “awe are you blushing?”
he looks closer
“oh, no that’s blood” - i’m tired now so ima sleep now, nightttt
