Chongyun comes back from an adventure and immediately seeks out Xingqiu. They meet up at the Wangshu Inn. Chongyun is waiting on the topmost balcony looking anxious.

“Greetings, my apologies for the wait. Monsters blocked the way and had to be dealt with,” Xingqiu smiles.

“No worries, I’m just happy to see you again. I found these for you while I was out,” the exorcist takes a stack of books from his bag and gives them to the other. He scans the titles.

“Are all of these romance novels?”

“Yes.”

“Any particular reason?” Xingqiu sets them down, looking up at Chongyun.

“Yeah,” he gathers his nerves, eyes shut and tense. “Will you go out with me?”

Xingqiu takes his hands in his. “Absolutely.”
