Nobody Asked so heres some Narrative Notes about my current party set-up

( [1]Kaeya / [2]Diluc / [3]Bennett / [4]Diona )

  • Kaeya and Diluc are literally just performing High Danger Babysitting.
  • Bennett and Diona are the chaos-prone children they’re supposed to be watching.
  • Diluc, the Wine Tycoon of Mondstadt, is suffering at the hands of Diona, the kid who’s trying -and failing- to destroy his entire livelihood. He’s still trying his best to be a responsible adult though.
  • Bennett, the poor kid, is the saving grace of this god-forsaken party. He also has the misfortune of standing as a buffer between the warring tavern-workers in the lineup.
  • There’s so much intentional mischief in this group that Bennett’s Bad Luck is just par for the course and nobody makes a big deal out of it -which he appreciates.
  • Kaeya is secretly the one who signed him and his brother up for this job, but Diluc absolutely cannot know that under any circumstances or he’ll banish him from Angel’s Share permanently and start throwing cups at him.
  • Kaeya is mostly content to just sit back and watch this all go down. He’s the only one paying enough attention to the outside world to really look out for monsters after a while, but he’s got some wine and a penchant for shenanigans so he can watch the monsters and the mayhem at the same time. Multitasking!
  • Kaeya and Diona, from different circumstances, each have reason to want to fuck with Diluc. They’ve capitalized on this timely matchup by using their respective Cryo Visions to freeze Diluc’s drinks any time he looks away and can’t tell who did it. The poor man is exhausted.

And this one doesn’t really work with Game Mechanics but I still think it’s fun:

  • Ultimate Teamup of Diona and Bennett where Bennett just runs through a group of monsters screaming and hoping that the magnetism of his luck will affect them negatively, while Diona sits on his shoulders and shoots at anything she can see via ‘mounted archery’. They’ve left their other two more experienced party-members at the bottom of a hill, much to Diluc’s chagrin. Kaeya thinks this is hilarious and wishes he’d seen it (He’ll gladly let them do it again as long as they’re supervised and they have backup in case it goes wrong. He’s not completely irresponsible).
