So while Aether’s busy complimenting Childe on his smile, I’m going to shamelessly ship Kaeya with Divinity Incarnate because tiny blue kitten deserves it.

So blue kitten accompanies Aether on his journey to Liyue, leaving Mondstadt for the very first time. Kaeya somehow ends up accompanying Aether to his first meeting with Zhongli and inherits the honor of being completely stupified by his celestial luminescence from Aether.

Tiny kitten accompanies Aether and Paimon on some of their adventures with Zhongli, and other times Kaeya runs into the brunette alone. Zhongli invites him on tours of Liyue, after finding out Kaeya has never seen it before, and the two talk of many things. There’s a clash of the regions going on, as Kaeya defends Mondstadt against Zhongli’s bias, but it does nothing to sever the connection.

So Zhongli ends up inviting Kaeya, Aether and Paimon to dinner. Aether backs out of it, knowing Kaeya’s smitten with him, saying there’s an urgent issue he needs to deal with-and there is. He’s worried about Childe. So Aether meets the Mysterious Emissary while looking for the Fatui bladewielder.

Dinner commences with Kaeya in inexplicably gorgeous Liyuean attire. He and Zhongli talk of many things, kitten feels like a princess, and the night is magical. Zhongli ends the evening by escorting Kaeya back to his room at the inn, kisses his hand with a ‘goodnight’ and it’s like

because kitty deserves it.
