I love the difference between the way zhongli and venti cares for their city

Zhongli doesnt know his people personally very well but he is there for them every year, shows them guidance for the whole year and comes back again next year. He never leaves them alone even tho its just for “business” reasons. He watched his city for over thousands of years. (Ofc he is resting now but who can blame him for that)

And then we have venti. Even tho its a undeniable fact that he is lazy the reason he made mondstad “city of freedom” wasnt because he is lazy but after seeing struggles of people to be free he decided that was the best. Even tho it meant losing some of his power (archons are strong as their bonds with their cities) and even tho he didn’t show guidance to them about what to do he was always there for them.

We see in his story quest that when traveler says maybe there is a second Stanley he says he doesnt know a second Stanley. Which means THIS MAN KNOWS EVERYONE IN MONDSTAD. He even knew Stanley’s real name which means he was watching him way before. He even teach people of mondstad how to write love poems. He may not be there for serious business but he is there for their personal life and happiness. He took his time to learn about everyone and watch over them and guided them when they fell to emptiness in their personal lives.

One is not better than other. Both did what they think is best for their city and both take the risks came along with the path they choose. And i love both of them so much for that.
