Maybe it’s a sign- destined to love Thoma the Maid from Inazuma more than Diluc, Mondstadt King. Fair i guess. I’m down for a humble life of servanthood. Thoma’s crush
Thoma would be the type to be super nice to you to the extent of everyone including Ayaka herself knowing for sure that he likes you. Like, he goes out of his way to make you miso soup with extra chillies, bring you milk tea and make sure you’re prepared with a jacket for the harsh Taratsuna weather, and he’s not even your boyfriend… he wouldn’t know he’s being obvious. He’d think, “I’m just doing my job! I’d do this for anyone!” And then not be able to help himself but dote on you every time you come into the tea house.
When you’re gone, he stays by the front and his head snaps up every time someone walks in just in case it’s you. Ayaka finally says something to him after a few months of watching him work around his schedule to see you whenever he can. She, very gently, questions him on his wild blush whenever you smile at him and encourages him to be up front with you about his feelings. This poor man didn’t realize how bad it had gotten, that even in a caretaking job he’s somehow put so much more energy into taking care of you more than anyone else…
He would be thorough with this. He can’t stand the thought of being sloppy if he were to ask you out, especially now that so much was on the line. You two had gotten so close over the last couple of months, talking about everything from Inazuman politics to the specifications of teahouse shiba inus. You were a good friend of his, he was going to make sure you got everything you deserve of a man!
He sets out on collecting wild Inazuman flowers, with Ayaka’s guidance, and makes sure to get his hands on a couple of Liyue Qingxin flowers to remind you of your travels. He asks you early in the week what your plans are, whether or not you have a busy or stressful week… he wants to make sure he asks you at the absolute best time to not put undue pressure or stress on you in case you aren’t interested in him which he would be crushed but is ready for that possibility.
He makes sure you’re home when he asks, primping the bouquet he’s meticulously put together. He rushes to your place after work, making sure he looks good before he knocks. You open the door to see him already red in the face, hiding the bouquet behind his back when you greet him enthusiastically and invite him in, questioning his sudden appearance. He steps in timidly and pulls out his flower arrangement, and in a stutter-y confession admits that he has feelings for you and would like to make his feelings and intentions with you clear. “Would you like to go on a date with me?” He presents his arrangement, a bit large for the occasion.
He thinks he might just pass out when you blush and say you feel the same and would love to go on a date with him. “oh, wonderful!” his smile lights up his whole face, feeling the heat in his face after all of this preparation and vulnerability. He almost doesn’t know what to say next, just admires your smiling face as you look up at him. “so, do you have anything planned…?” you ask after a moment of soaking in what’s been said.
He excitedly fills you in on his grand date idea, a picnic on the outskirts of the little city, bringing home cooked picnic snacks and desserts. He wants to make sure he has the opportunity to flex how protective he can be for you in case any slimes come your way!

He’s up early the day of the date, having tried his hardest to clear a day for you. Multicolored dango, Katsu sandwiches, and of course, tea, is carefully packed for you as he heads out to meet you for your picnic.
He’s almost too nervous to touch you. He’s huge on physical touch but really respects you, his good friend and beautiful person, and would never want to cross a boundary! He’s over the moon just to have you close to him, and feels like he could burst when you start playing with and admiring his hands. He is grateful for your sweetness and attention, and does all that he can to return the favor!
