(not ////kaeluc) Kaeya and Diluc do still love each other. Like, canonically. They just can’t bring themselves to admit it due to, well *waves hands at The Fight*. They’ve done a lot of damage to one another, physically and emotionally as a result of intense trauma. Neither are completely innocent or guilty.

That being said, there’s still plenty of evidence that the two still care. Ex: Kaeya got Diluc that extravagant vase, Diluc kept it, Diluc earnestly advised Kaeya not to drink excessively, Kaeya didn’t leave Diluc alone when they were stranded on that island even though it would’ve been easier just to escape on his own via ice bridge. I am aware that nasty words were spewed during some of these instances, but what’s important is that these subtle acts of kindness happened. This is one of those “show don’t tell” situations. So, the love is very much still there. They just got to learn to like each other again. I have high hopes that there will be a reconciliation between them in the future. It’ll be rough and I strongly suspect that they’re due for at least one more big fight, but I believe it will happen nonetheless.
