This is for the Eula fans out there ❄

The music sets a thrum in your chest, its rhythm picking up in a way that may urge even the most stoic of dancers to step onto the floor.

But you; you were far more captivated by the one before you. Her limbs moved with grace, nobility - but what stood out most to you were how gentle they seemed after her eyes swept to meet yours, for just a moment. As if reminded of a memory.

It was but a fleeting flicker, but you swear her gaze softened when she recognised you standing there. You wonder if this was sufficient enough of a reason to move forward? To join her in her dance under the candlelight.

Yet before you could ponder any longer Eula finishes a move, stretching her hand toward you. Her palm was faced upward in an offering, a smile gracing her lips almost teasingly, as she’d known you were standing there for a while.

“Shall we?”

If you’ll have me, I’d dance with you anywhere. Through frost-woven forests or a ballroom bathed in gold, as long as it’s with you.

You take a deep breath as you reach out to take her hand; they touch lightly, and you don’t weigh down her palm any more than that as she leads you into another tango, following the melody like how one might fall along the will of a heartbeat.

Exchanging a momentum that’s almost magnetic, the two of you lean closer to one another - almost touching, before falling back to your places and continuing on.

Slide, step, and repeat. Push, pull, catch the glitter in her eyes - How much time would pass before you retreated back to Mondstadt? You probably should soon, but you didn’t want to.

In this makeshift oasis floored with cool marble and a lone chandelier, you vaguely wonder if in a different time, this place might’ve been filled with life.

Your lights are from that of candles lined about the walls - not something of grandiosity, but enough, when paired with a shower of moonlight through the panes.

Now that the building has been abandoned, you decide that its old endearments may not have been for naught; there may be no masquerades and gems left to live in its halls, but you were sharing a night with your Spindrift Knight that stood more beautiful than anything you’ve seen.

This is no ball, but was more than enough for you.
