[Hope you don’t mind another Xiao being worried and panicking because of his s/o]
- Xiao would be extremely worried about you suddenly disappearing for days. Not even a single message for him or any kind of warning. You just stopped appearing or disappearing for a few days.
- Maybe you’ve gotten sick again and you didn’t tell anyone about it. He would like to believe that, however, he went to your home one time and didn’t find you there. Your home was clean and organized though there was no trace of you. Not even the people in Wangshu Inn knows where you are either.
- Because of that, he started a search operation for you.
- It’s not like he can just go and ask people where you are. He can’t let himself be in contact with the mortal realm for too long nor let himself mingle with the people there. Although he couldn’t say the same about you, a mortal that became his lover.
- He went around the whole continent of Liyue just to look for you. Entered caves, dungeons, and such. The search operation lasted for 3 days; he didn’t take a break.
- However, there’s still no trace of you found.
- That’s where he thought of the possibility of you getting kidnapped. He doesn’t want to believe that, he doesn’t want to think about it. He refuses to believe.
- What would they get from you? Mora? Love? Or something else? What if something worse than that happened to you? What if it was your life that was taken away? He couldn’t help but get scared and worried with just the thought of it.
- However, that fearful theory of his was debunked when he saw you walking down the narrow path coming back from Monsdadt.
- Xiao immediately jumped down in front of you and startled the life out of you.
“Xiao?!”
You couldn’t help but yelp in shock and almost stumble back. What seems like a god jumped down in front of you which was actually your lover, Xiao. There was a cold expression on his face when he stood straight up and looked at you.
“You startled me! What are you—”
You were interrupted as you suddenly felt strong arms being wrapped around your figure. Xiao pulled you into a tight hug which you didn’t expect him to do, he even snuggled his face on your shoulder. You blinked your eyes in surprise and recovered from the shock you received, slowly putting your hand on his back and giving it an awkward pat.
“Where have you been? I looked for you for days.”
He spoke with his lips against your skin, his breath tickling and fanning your neck. You could sense the slight worry and frustration in his tone of voice. You hummed before responding, “I’m sorry, I wasn’t able to inform you about it. It was so sudden I didn’t have time to prepare, they just basically talked to me and dragged me to Monsdadt because of a job.” You rubbed and draw circles on his back as a way of comforting him. You could see how Xiao was so worried about you and it made you feel guilty and disappointed in yourself.
“They didn’t give you a chance to prepare or something.” He said, pulling away from the hug. His hands were placed at the very curve of your waist, gripping it gently. His eyebrows were knotted as he looked at you. You heaved out a sigh before you spoke, “Something like that but I swear, this won’t happen again.”
He only hummed and didn’t say anything though, staring intently at you though his expression softened and relaxed. You smiled at him and placed your hands on his cheeks and opened your mouth to speak, your voice was gentle and soft.
“Let’s go back, shall we? I’ll make you some Almond Tofu.”
“I’ll gladly accept the offer.”
