• Sheets rustling, the sound of flesh in contact with sheets was heard at the dead silent night. Your eyes slowly flutter open, vision slowly clearing only to realize your lover wasn’t by your side anymore.
• Sleepily, you look around the room in search for that glowing hair tip or at least that familiar shine the former archon’s eyes had. There was nothing though, just pitch black darkness enveloping you all over.
• Eyes heavy you brought yourself out of bed to find him. Still feeling drowsy, your body couldn’t help but sway a little as you occasionally bump into things. Later on, you got into contact into something soft, more like someone.
• “Hm? y/n?” he hummed as he faced you, holding a teacup and he’s even wearing his reading glasses in which he almost never wears.
• You blinked your sleepy eyes as you finally realized you finally found the treasure you were finding. You smiled a little as you suddenly wrapped your arms around his slim waist, surprising him a little. “Zhongli~”
• He chuckles as he sets his cup down on the table, faces you, and taking your face into his palms. “Well hello there darling.” he smiles widely as he brought the tip of his nose against yours, giving you an eskimo kiss.
• You giggled at the amount of affection he was giving. He may be a little stoic and expressionless most of the time, but when you two are finally alone, a new adorable side of him comes out.
• You nuzzled your face closer to his as you say, “What are you doing here?” He withdraws as he carried you and made you sit on the counter top. “I suddenly got… hungry.”
• A familiar aroma was picked up by your nose as you sniffed, inhaling more of its scent. “Is that… cookies?”
• He eyed the plate of cookies he prepared by his side. He got one and brought it close to your mouth. “Yes. Childe gave it to me. He told me he bought too much since his brother visited him again.”
• You took a bite and the delight of the desert made your taste buds jump with joy. Your eyes widened as you produced a satisfied moan, “Oh my God these are good.”
• “Indeed. I was going to ask where he bought these so we can have more of it.” he said as he now grabbed the drink he was currently enjoying. “Also here. Hu Tao gave me this brew. It suited both of our tastes very well.”
• You gladly took the cup he was offering to you. You blew at the tea first before bringing the rim close to you lips, drinking it. The warm soothing liquid glided smoothly down your throat, making you warm all over. You brought a hand close to your lips as you eyed the tea, “Oh gosh this is good too. Honestly, how many sugar daddies and mommies do you have?”
• He titled his head to the side in confusion as he blinked innocently, “Pardon?” You just smiled and shook your head as you sip more of his tea. “Cute”, you thought.
• After finishing the snacks laid out, you stared intently into him. The glasses made him look more… beautiful and flawless. Your lips unconsciously tugged up into a small smile as you thought how lucky you were to get this gentleman before you.
• “y/n,” he called your name as you hummed in response. He approached you as he hugged you, his strong arms around your waist and his face on the crook of your neck. You were caught off guard it made your face hot and red.
• Flustered, your arms shook as you returned his hug. It soon eased as comfort starting to take over your system. It felt nice, his warm body against yours. Your hands reached the back of his head as you lovingly caress it, his soft hair felt good between your fingers.
• You felt him land a warm soft kiss on your neck before pulling away. He showed you his softest smile as he offered his hand to you, “Do you want to dance?”
• You blinked a few times to register what’s happening. You nodded as you took his hand, his fingers enveloping around your palm.
• He gently pulled you close to his body, one hand on your waist and one still holding your hand as you two slowly swayed from left to right.
• With the distance, his scent was strong and it makes you feel safe in his arms. The gentle smile never escaped his lips as the two of you danced around the kitchen.
• “y/n,” he called out your name again as he chuckled. “We’re dancing, not asserting dominance by squashing my toes.”
• You finally noticed that you’re already stepping on his feet. You immediately put it away, “Ack, I’m sorry! There’s no music, I couldn’t seem to follow you…”
• He chuckled one more time before suddenly humming a familiar soft tune making your eyes widen and jaw almost dropping. He has a majestic deep voice that was really pleasant to the ears, it made your heartbeat faster. It was… beautiful.
• He twirled you around, soft breeze encircling you as you did. He pulled you more closer, arms hugging your waist as your palms rested on his broad warm chest.
• He slowly leans in as he pressed a soft kiss against your lips. Lingering there for seconds to savor in your taste. It made your heart skip a beat as heat radiated on the places he touched you.
• He pulls away, smiles genuinely at you before resting his forehead against yours, closing his eyes as he continued to hum and sway. He held you closer and tighter.
• With the silent night and only the sound of his humming, it certainly felt like the two of you were in cloud nine. The amount of joy and affection both of you are feeling is strong.
