Just some modern-AU things… (semi valentines themed)
Diluc picking you up like usual for a date, but… This time he doesn’t show up in his car - rather, he seems to be holding a bag behind his back..? The redhead admits he thought it’d be nice to take a walk together since the weather is nice, and there’s a park nearby that has a nice atmosphere so…
Oh, and the car’s at said park. This wasn’t really Diluc’s plan from the beggining, but when he saw the trees and lake and quieter crowd there, some part of him decided to be spontaneous, and before he knew it he was here greeting you with a half-baked plan.
This wasn’t the usual Diluc, and he’s surely slightly-embarrassed about it, but… It’s cute. It’s endearing - who said romance needed to be an elaborate plot full of twists and turns? This was more than enough, just having Diluc here and making honest attempts, be they messy or random or masterfully planned.
Speaking of plans, your attention is drawn to the bag in his hands that he was trying to keep discreet. You would later learn that Diluc bought some pastries/treats to share on his way here… some Valentine’s chocolates might’ve been mixed in there, too. You vaguely wonder if this would mean having a late dinner later on, but keep the thought filed away in favor of enjoying the moment.
