Zhongli and the girls arrive on the Starsnatch Cliff. Klee quickly runs off and gathers Cecilia flowers with Diona and Noelle close by, leaving Zhongli and Sucrose on the back.

Zhongli: Why do you insist on hiding your ears?

Sucrose: O-oh… You notice, even though I hide it with my hair?

Zhongli: But it is part of your hereditary feature, there’s no need to hide it.

Sucrose: Wouldn’t everyone be uncomfortable… if they see my ears? 

Zhongli: Look around you, Sucrose. Diona had ears similar to yours. Noelle is a dutiful maid who would serve anyone regardless of their species. Klee is friendly to anyone. No one is going to judge your appearance.

Sucrose: What about you… Mr. Zhongli?

Zhongli: Powerful beings called Adepti are a common sight in Liyue. In fact, The secretary to the Liyue Qixing, business leaders who govern Liyue, is a half adepti. She had horns on her head as a part of her Qilin’s bloodline.

Sucrose: She’s not afraid of showing her horns… to Liyue people?

Zhongli: (laughs) According to the legend, she was nervous at first. She had been born and raised by the Adepti until Rex Lapis wanted to teach her about the human ways in Liyue Harbor. She refused, covering her large horns with her hands. ‘The humans will despise me because of my unusual horns. I am different from them.’

Zhongli: So Rex Lapis came up with a simple solution. With his human form he grew his horns similar to his dragon appearance, then led her to the harbor. 

Zhongli: At first glance, The Liyue people were surprised with Rex Lapis’ uncommon appearance, but then they continue with their usual affairs or converse with him. They seek help or advice from the Adepti but had never once mentioning their appearance. 

Zhongli: Rex Lapis kept his horns for a few years until she grew confident with the mortals.

Sucrose: But from the news I’ve gathered, Rex Lapis is dead now… what happened to her then?

Zhongli: She grieved deeply with the rest of adepti at first, but then decided to continue his legacy. To this day, she still lives among the mortals and learned how to find her true self (smiles proudly).
