Aether x Childe HCs.
• Their relationship is one that has tension flowing through it like an electrical current. Childe quite often thinks he’s pushing Aether to his breaking point, but then the traveler encourages him to keep pushing, to keep pursuing him, and it is the archer who is always pushed to his boiling point.
• At one point, Childe forces Aether into a corner and blocks him from escaping. However, Aether shows no sign of fear-only courage and adrenaline, wishing Childe WOULD do something. The two remain close enough for Aether to realize Childe smells of fire, wind and iron. It is in that corner their longing for each other develops into an excruciating physical ache, an ache so powerful it prevents then from sleeping that night.
• Kaeya is initially the only Windscout that knows Aether’s intimate with Childe. Things become awkward once the team begins to suspect Childe of eyeballing not only Zhongli’s Gnosis, but quite possibly his life. Not only is Zhongli a dear friend at that point, but Kaeya has strong feelings for him. This means both Zhongli and Kaeya are very well in danger-all thanks to the secret agent Aether fell in love with.
• Aether knows pursuing a relationship with Childe is akin to dancing in fire; it’s dangerous, fiery and being burned is inevitable. However, he can’t turn off the powerful longing and adoration he has for the enigmatic member of the Fatui, and fervently hopes to turn Childe to the other team.
