rundown of genshin lore theory-holes im roaming around:

- the Traveler twins are Literally Stars. Real stars, not like the fake irmunsul fruit ones in Teyvat. this is why they are so responsive to people’s wishes and are able to hear the wishes of inanimate/long dead things (the frostbearing tree, kapatcir’s pinion, the weapons made from Durin’s remains, that whole thing that happens at the end of inazuma with the Visions). “wish upon a shooting star” and all that.

- Paimon is related to the Seelie court in some way, possibly the last “living” seelie as they were destroyed by Celestia long ago. the seelies were known as a technologically advanced society that loved to guide and educate others, but they earned the ire of the Celestia gods and were wiped out, leaving only wisps. Paimon may be a Seelie that “ascended” and is being kept in servitude of Celestia, similar to vision-bearers like Venessa. that is, up until she somehow wound up in the ocean…

- the Primordial Human project is an attempt by Gold/Rhinedottir to make human life that is completely removed from the influence of Celestia and any gods of Teyvat. Khaenri’ah was a nation with no gods, and such a goal suits them. paired with new info from enkanomiya, this is seeming more and more likely, as there used to be a Primordial god, but the knowledge of it is forbidden. Albedo is one step towards this but, like his namesake in the alchemical process, he is just one of several stages done in preparation for it.

- Alice, Klee’s mother, may have been in or come from enkanomiya. one of the new records documents important figures’ names and how they were translated to fit the inazuman dialect (from greek to japanese). among them is Eris to Arisu. Eris, aka the goddess of discord. Arisu uses the same japanese characters for the spelling of the name Alice. Eris is most popularly known for her use of a Golden Apple to incite jealousy and chaos. Alice prepared an entire Golden Apple Archipelago adventure for her daughter…

- Teyvat’s landmasses have been destroyed and remade several times over, at least twice. many items and artifacts have stories that state that the world used to just be an ice sheet and easily could become one again. there is also a reoccurring theme of entire civilizations, sol vindagnyr, the seelie court, khaenri’ah, being destroyed by Celestia once they have gotten too close to some hidden Truth. the blind pursuit of knowledge into self-destruction is also reoccurring, the tiara sets tell of a people who had individuals that would sacrifice themselves in order to just glimpse the “truth”. the Traveler has been told by their twin that, should they learn the “truth of this world”, they too will seek its destruction…

- Teyvat is a huge tree. like, the entire world is a tree. this isn’t a groundbreaking or recent theory either, it just kind of matches a lot of info we’ve been given in game so far. the sky being the canopy of a great tree would explain scaramouche’s infamous: “The stars… The sky… It’s all a gigantic hoax. A lie.” my added take: the tree is sick and this is bad news for everyone. most of the irmunsul trees you find are petrified and/or suffering from leyline disorders.

- Dragons came before all other life on Teyvat somehow. they are intelligent and possibly have an entire plane of their own that exists parallel to that of the humans. i do not know what to do with this information just yet but holy shit dragons.
