There is so much horror going on with the Raiden Shogun’s existence that Mihoyo just brushes over. Like, she has her own distinct personality and will, but she is always constrained by her orders from Ei, and because she’s modeled after Ei, she doesn’t even have her “own” face; it belongs to someone else. Where does the Raiden Shogun end and Ei begin? To what extent is the Raiden Shogun just another part of Ei, and does that concept deny the Raiden Shogun her own autonomy?
