The Girls: Alcina Dimitrescu/ Mother Miranda

The Girls: Alcina Dimitrescu/ Mother Miranda

If there was one thing that Miranda loved about Dimitrescu household besides the fact that it was mansion…it was how unpredictable it could be.

She never knew what she was expecting when she knocked on the door, sometimes Huyana opened the door hair a mess of mane talking a mile a minute mostly about Donna. Sometimes it was Namrata, on the phone with Karl, rolling her eyes at the sight of Miranda and screaming for Alcina to come see the “Blond witch”. But Miranda really enjoyed a frazzled Alcina dealing with three girls all under the age of 12 running around the house.

This time when Miranda knocked on the door, it opened with such a force that she step back startled. Three young girls charged through the door, laughing up a storm.

“Don’t let them get away!”

Alcina’s voice rang from inside the house, and Miranda couldve sworn that the girls seemed to run faster at the sound of it.

Thinking quick, Miranda went after the oldest girl, grabbing the blond around the waist.

“No!” She shouted, dissolving into giggles. “Run Cassie! Run Dani!”

The remaining two girls split much to the annoyance of Miranda. Though the moment made her sympathize with Alcina, at least she only Eva to deal with…when Eva was still in her custody.

“Thank you…oh shit-” Alcina cut off once she realized who had her oldest. “Miranda, I didn’t know you were here-”

Miranda waved her unspoken apology away handing her the squirming child.

“The other two split up,” Miranda said. “I’m pretty sure the redhead one climbed up a tree.”

Alcina let out a groan, placing her free hand on her forehead.

“Could you please watch Bela, while I get Cassandra and Daniela. It’ll only be a moment.”

Miranda hesitated as she looked at the child, who stared back at her curiously.

“I guess…”

“Thank you, thank you, I’ll be right back.”

Alcina placed the girl down and went after her other two daughters. Miranda took the child’s hand and led her in the kitchen.

“Let’s sit,” Miranda said. “And maybe you can tell me why you three are giving your mother such a hard time this morning.”
