Toast has done a couple Just Chatting streams on Twitch lately and has talked a lot about Among Us and how he’s going to be done with Among Us for a while and it’s had me thinking a lot.

He’s talked a lot about how these days, every scenario that’s happened in Among Us has already happened and people watch it/play it more for the social aspect of playing with their friends or watching OTV and Friends play together.

And… I really can’t disagree with that. Like, it’s not so much the game or caring who the imposter is that I care about, but seeing who is in the lobby, seeing the interactions between Amigops or laughing at Sykkuno trolling so or so or just the general flirty friendships between all the guys or all the girls. Or seeing Bretman for a change, or seeing the Amigops grow closer with the Feral Boys. It’s a social thing for me, kind of.

And I’m sad to be losing that social thing. I’m sure we’ll still get lobbies occasionally. Among Us is still Corpse’s streaming game and just yesterday he and Dr. Lupo were discussing playing it together. But gone are the days of Among Us. Everyone is kinda doing their own thing in small groups until a new group game comes out, I think. First Class Troubles was almost that but it’s so hard for residents to win.

I find it so funny that I put off watching GTA for weeks because there was no other OTV people on the server and it was so massive that the idea of getting into it was overwhelming but that’s… Why I love it??? Like, I’m enjoying seeing Sykkuno play with people outside of his normal circle and I love how big the world is. I love only having to follow a storyline or two but having all the background noise to make it feel like a real city. I love the roleplay aspect. I love that everyone’s characters and I love that everything can change so quickly. That with roleplay, things are always different, because each scenario is different.

IDK. I’m sad to see Toast take a step back but it’s probably time. There’s other games. They’re talking about a new Minecraft server but it’s just deciding when to time it around the next big update. A lot of them love GTA but chat and hardcore Nopixel fans are making it hard to want to play it, Leslie even cried on stream over it and it’s bullshit. Toast is considering it but doesn’t seem too thrilled about GTA tbh. And there’s always Valorant!
