Achilles is a remote hero in time, separated from us by hundreds of years, but thanks to his human, mortal side, he has remained our hero up until the present day. For how long? Achilles is able to express what he does, knows and experiences. This is not easy for him, because what he does, knows and experiences does not always coincide with the acts, knowledge and experiences of others. But he is “a great speaker of words and doer of deeds”. His words and actions have endured and this explains why he still continues to interest us; because of what he tells us of our human condition.
